sisters
/These are my sisters.
I've taken their portraits lots of different times - for awhile, they were my main source of photography practice, always near at hand to dress up and drag outside when the light was just right so I could try out new techniques. Now Amy asks for new pictures at least once a year, which I love because she's always got a new idea for an outfit or a pose; in the meantime, Hannah's life is morphing and moving and changing so quickly that I'm in a rush to catch up with it in the few times we're together these days. It still hits me hard sometimes that when I got my first camera over ten years ago, Amy was a baby and Hannah was my playmate, and now Amy is getting taller every day and Hannah just got word that she'll be doing undergrad research at San Diego State University this summer. I wonder, where did all that time go?
(I also wonder, how will I ever have children of my own if I get this choked up about my sisters??)
